This tax is applied based on the value of the transaction, and its tax rate varies depending on the autonomous community where the property is located. In most autonomous communities in Spain, the tax rate for ITP in the purchase of a home is 6% of the transaction value. However, some autonomous communities have established different tax rates. It is important to note that the application of ITP in the purchase and sale of a second-hand home does not depend on whether the seller is an individual or a company.
