In most autonomous communities in Spain, the tax rate for ITP in the purchase of a home is 6% of the transaction value. However, some autonomous communities have established different tax rates. For example, in Catalonia, the tax rate for ITP is 10% of the transaction value. It is important to note that the application of ITP in the purchase and sale of a second-hand home does not depend on whether the seller is an individual or a company.
